It was at the time of the Moors in Spain. What was a market of silk those days, is now a beautiful souvenir market that shows the “zocos” of the Oriënt with its narrow streets, horseshoe arcs and the Arab decoration of streets and shops.

The Albaycin and the Sacromonte, Gypsy neighborhoods, are not far from here. They live in beautiful white sheds in which the flamenco music and dance make every evening a pleasure for all visitors. On a 30-minute ride by car you can reach Sierra Nevada, the more southern ski resort of Europe, and the Alpujarras, a region known by its small white villages and the beauty of its mountains. The best Serrano ham is the one that are dried there. Another 55-minute drive and you can enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean sea. Granada, with its original and authentic tapas culture, offers to its residents and visitors, until late in the evening, the best of the Spanish kitchen!
